GTC was very honored to be invited to the annual dinner of the Hong Kong Institute of Directors which was held at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Center (“HKCEC”) on 8 Dec 2016.  The slogan of this year’s event was “Corporate Sustainability – The Board’s Crucial Role”.

The guest of honor of the night was Prof. the Hon KC Chan, GBS, JP, Secretary for Financial Services and the Treasury.  Prof. Chan’s speech focused on the importance of corporate governance which directly contributed to the success of the company.  The high level of corporate governance of the listed companies in Hong Kong formed the high quality business culture in Hong Kong, which made Hong Kong to be one of the most popular destinations for oversea investments.

This year’s directors awards went to Board of Directors, China Resources Power Holdings Company Limited; Board of Directors, China Resources Beer (Holdings) Company Limited; Mr. Chan Yu Ling Abraham, Founder, Chairman, Chief Executive Officer and Executive Director, PuraPharm Corporation Limited; Mr. Terry Ho, Executive Director, Chief Financial Officer, Company Secretary, Xtep International Holdings Limited; Board of Directors, Vinda International Holdings Limited; and Mr. Andrew Weir, Board Chairman, Plan International Hong Kong.  Congratulations again to all winners!
