It’s the second time for GTC to sponsor the Hong Kong Translation Society. “Meet the Masters” is the Society’s honorary fellowship conferment ceremony cum translation forum. We have five translation masters from both local and overseas to receive this award, including (in alphabetical order by surname) Professor Jane Lai, Professor Emeritus, Hong Kong Baptist University; Dr. Jimmy Ma Yiu-tim, SBS, JP, Barrister-at-law; Professor David Pollard, Former Chair Professor of Translation, Chinese University of Hong Kong; Professor Yang Cheng-shu, Director, Graduate Institute of Cross-Cultural Studies, Fu Jen Catholic University; and also Professor Zhang Jinghao, Professor, College of Foreign Languages, University of Shanghai for Science and Technology.   It was a full-house event that attracted over 120 people to attend.
